This is the first time I have read anything from this author and would give this a 3.5 rating. The writing was good and it was a different take on vampires. I was a little concerned about the BDSM theme as I normally do not read those type books, but this one is very light and didn't overwhelm the story. Marcus was what I would consider a typical vampire, controlling and arrogant, but he was written so that he was still an enjoyable character. This story is angst free and would be considered a sweet romance.
